Kid’s Axe Throwing and Fire Activity Day

Based five minutes from the A30 near Mitchell, this activity day in the woods is suitable for those aged 12 to 16 and will include:

• Introduction to fire and fire safety

• Building fires cooking on an open fire

• Axe throwing and catapults

• Short orienteering course rescuing based on a pilot down scenario.

• Other activities depending on the time and weather.

 

Good to Know

Bring with you:

• Suitable clothing and footwear

• Wet weather jacket and a change of clothes in case they get muddy/wet

 

Arrival and departure time:

• Arrive at 08:45 to 09:00

• Depart 15:00 to 15:15

 

Food and drink: 

• There will be hot and cold drinks available all day along with fruit 

• Lunch will be jacket potatoes with a choice of filling and salad

• Please ensure you have listed any dietary requirements

 

Toilets: 

• We have Portaloo’s on site

How Much Does it Cost?

For paid places, the price is £30 per person. 

For those aged 12 to 16 on benefits related to free school meals, the programme is FREE.
