Birthday Parties
Once booked and a deposit paid, Birthday parties take the form of a Survival & Bushcraft Activities Day.
MORNING
Arrive and ready to start at Trenowth Woods, Grampound Road for 1000hrs.
Camp layout, Rules of the woods, Introduction. Fire lighting, open fire basic lunch cooked by the youngsters. Followed by clean up check stores.
AFTERNOON
Survival Relay (Skills Competition) followed by Camouflage and Concealment. (Hide & seek) Depart 1600hrs
COSTING
The total cost for the day is £18.00 per youngster,(VAT Included) with a minimum of 10 young people attending. (Example: If only 7 youngsters turn up the cost is still £180.00). For numbers over 10, each additional youngster will cost £12.50 each, up to a maximum of 20. Note: Projected numbers must be received in advanced in order to obtain extra Instructors .
ADULT SUPERVISION
In addition to the Footsteps of Discovery staff, Adult supervisors from the booking organisation are required to attend and assist where necessary. They should also be able to point out the different personalities and special requirements of the youngsters attending.
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
Old clothing including waterproofs will be required in addition stout footwear and Wellington boots plus gloves for inclement weather. All other training equipment is provided by Footsteps of Discovery.
SUMMARY
The total cost of £18.00 per young person includes the following:
- Basic open fire food (burgers, sausages, bread etc).
- Tea, coffee, drinking chocolate, juice, land hire, Full Instruction in Survival & Bushcraft and full indemnity insurance cover.
