Taster Day

Hi Spanner & Mark, Just wanted to say we had an amazing day and would love to do it again some time.

We all learnt something new and enjoyed the activities immensely. Cam particularly enjoyed the fire building and of course throwing the axe. (something primeval)

The whole day was brilliant from start to finish, and fantastic value for money. We hope to see you again next year, even if just to get an update on the squirrel situation!

Fourways Youth Centre, St. Blazey

Our young men were buzzing with excitement after their visit and keen to return and learn more from the staff who, as well as possessing a never ending wealth of knowledge, were also fantastic to work with.

Spanner an co. facilitated our group superbly and were excellent at engaging the young people (and youth workers) in the activities.

I defy any group of any age, gender or ability to visit Footsteps Of Discovery and not learn a great deal whilst having a blast. We will certainly be returning!

So you thought you came all the way from Cornwall to Oxford to do survival... When Spanner launched into breakfast mode, (fried eggs,) the line waiting to be served just got longer and longer.. Spanner and Mark are just an amazing, duo, entertaining, professional and resourceful. The children sit spell bound hanging on their every word.

A parent who was on the weekend wrote: "The programme for the children was superb -- the rabbit skinning will live long in all our memories. We loved the way the instructor dealt with the children, never underestimating them, earning and keeping their full attention.

Pilgrim Primary School

Thanks to the guys at footsteps for giving the Pilgrim children the true survival experience. From making their own meals to shelter building, they had an action packed few days. Very impressed, we'll be back again!

You guys pitched everything at exactly the right level and the facilities were brilliant too. There was a lot of trepidation prior to us all turning up but a real buzz going shortly afterwards and the day after that, simply flew by.

Cornwall RV was our first experience with the kids. Four adults and nine kids in total. What a brilliant and well planned event that the kids loved and the adults equally enjoyed.

The location is superb and fits into the surroundings and sets the scene for a good learning environment. So nice to mingle with people that have a similar interests of being out in the open and also learning from each others life skills and experiences.

Spanner and Mark were excellent with the children and all lessons were pitched at the correct, but fun level. All our kids completed spoon making with Neil and metal work with the blacksmith - good instructors with a wealth of knowledge and good with the children.

I know both Spanner and Mark who organised the event and didn’t know what to expect but knew they would put on a good show, which they did and exceeded all our expectations.

Thanks to all the persons who provided lessons for the children and adults. A great experience and good fun had by all.
